Stone Mountain Harley-Davidson Southern Nationals

The All Harley Drag Racing Association (AHDRA) is returning to Commerce, GA on May 27th & 28th for high-powered competition at Atlanta Dragway¹s quarter mile strip.

The Stone Mountain Harley-Davidson Southern Nationals presented by Drag Specialties will host a huge field of Harley drag racers with 16 classes of competition including fire-breathing machines that travel down the strip at over 200 miles per hour.

The weekend action includes a head-to-head battle for the top spot in the Screamin¹ Eagle Nitro Harley category with reigning champion, Mike Romine of Sturgis, MI leading the point¹s chase by less than 20 marks over #2 plate-holder, Doug Vancil of Albuquerque, NM.

Local favorite, Junior Pippin of Conyers, GA has a commanding lead in the Samson Pro Modified category and will continue his quest to conquer yet another championship title.

In the Screamin' Eagle V-Rod Destroyer category, local favorite Tripp Nobles of Macon, GA trails New Orleans rider, Erik Ryder by a mere two points. Ryder scored record numbers at AHDRA's last meet in St. Louis, MO and Nobles hopes to step up the competition at Atlanta Dragway.

The weekend kicks off with AHDRA Nitro parties hosted by Stone Mountain Harley-Davidson and Granite Mountain Harley-Davidson on Friday, May 26th. Both parties get underway at 4:00pm and go until 7:00pm. Fans can get a sneak peek at race bikes along with food, entertainment, discount tickets and more.

Racing at Atlanta Dragway gets underway Saturday with qualifying at 9:00am. On Sunday the Sportsman eliminations begin at 9:00am and the Pros take the track at 12:30pm. Gates open both days at 8:00am.

Weekend camping is available at Atlanta Dragway. Campsites are $25 and include hot showers and live entertainment Saturday night with JB Walker and the Cheap Whiskey Band.

In addition to the racing, fans can visit the large manufacturer's midway on site and meet special-guest, custom bike builder, Kendall Johnson.

Admission to the Stone Mountain Harley-Davidson Southern Nationals presented by Drag Specialties (includes pit-access) is $25 for a single day or $40 for 2-days. H.O.G. members receive a $5 discount and Children 11 and under are admitted free. Discount tickets are available at Stone Mountain Harley-Davidson and Granite Mountain Harley-Davidson.

AHDRA offers free admission for active military and reserve personnel with proper I.D.
