Please be aware of your speed at all times while in Flagstaff. The police in this area hide on the side of the road in one of the towns many rundown motels. This town has more police than you would ever need in a town this small. They really prove this when it comes writing tickets. You may receive a ticket in the mail for going through a yellow light that turns red before you pass through. The ticket is terribly expensive and even the staff at the police department are terrified of the camers. Also, even if you are going with the flow of traffic, you get a ticket in the mail unaware that you were even speeding because you were driving in the midst of all the traffic. You have no defense they just don't care what you have to say. Many people roar through at 65 - 70 and get lucky. Not a deliberate speed trap per se, but easy to miss if one is distracted, e.g. talking or daydreaming.
