There is NO '7 mph over the limit allowance' in Idaho. When the speed limit was bumped from 55 to 75, the Idaho Attorney General publicly announced that the new speed limit would be Strictly enforced on the Interstate system through Idaho. I can just about guarantee that if you pass a Trooper at 82, you Will be ticketed! I've been stopped and warned at 77!
Wednesday afternoon northbound through early Monday morning southbound, the Utah drivers going to and from Island Park and Yellowstone hammer through there like they're going through SLC. It's ugly. ISP responds, it seems, to the level of complaints received.

SR-44 is 55 MPH most of the way. As you approach Star, the speed drops immediately down to 25 MPH. Everyday, there is usually a cop hidden across from the fire station or north of the intersection of SR-44 and Star Road.

This is a Huge hot spot for the Weiser PD. It seems that they have a lot of time on their hands as there is usually a WPD car sitting running radar near the turn out just North of this intersection. They usually are facing Northbound trying to catch speeders going southbound into town.

•A cop oftentimes sits in an empty parking lot right before you cross the Parkcenter Bridge going into downtown. I probably see him at least 3 times a week, most noticably in the mornings around 7 and 8. It's very easy to miss seeing the car- but it's there!
