State Highway Hwy 1 Pintler Scenic Route

Hwy 1 travels from I-90 Anaconda exit to I-90 Drummand exit. Speed trap is on the west end of Anaconda. As you are traveling west on Hwy 1 thru Anaconda it's 25, when you hit the 2 lane highway on the west end of Anaconda, it raises to only 35 for several miles, then 45, and then 70. Traveling east on Hwy 1 into Anaconda, the Hwy goes from 70 to 45 and usually has a patrol car immediately after the 45 sign. It remains 45 for several miles and then changes to 35 (still on the highway) and the hits 25 as you enter Anaconda. This is a straight, wide open stretch of highway and to post 35 for most of it and 45 for some of it is ridiculous.

This is a steep hill. The posted speed limit is 25mph. Motorist traveling down the hill have difficulty keeping the speed to 25. The hill is regularly patroled for this reason.

Entire length of US 93, only road that runs thru this very small town connecting northeast Idaho with southwest Montana. Enforced by one 'Town Marshal' who has even given TV host David Letterman a speeding ticket.

If you are headed out of town watch out going past Kmart and other buisnesses south of town to silver bridge. The limit is 45 mph but it is straight and you are just getting on you way to leave town. They will pull you over there.
