Through Brandon and South on Highway 11... Especially dangerous for those "out of towners" that happen to be driving through Brandon for the first time. During the summer time is especially "dangerous" when it comes to speed traps. People come to Huset's Speedway from all around the Midwest on Sunday nights from Mother's Day thru Labor Day. It is located just south of town on Hiway 11...If you ever Take I-90 east of Sioux Falls to exit 406, then go south three miles on SR 11. be careful. You can count on several "speeders" on the side of the road on any given Sunday night. It also happens in the winter time as my 81 year old dad can contest. He got a speeding ticket on Xmas Eve... he couldn't believe they wouldn't at least give him a warning. "No way!" He also got another one about a month later. Some guys never learn! lol Thanks for your site... but please add Brandon... to help save us from our reputation....Thanks!

The Highway Patrol is usually sitting somewhere between the 446th and 444th Avenue. The speed limit starts at 55MPH at the 446th and turns to 45MPH at the 445th. The level of enforcement is very very high. It is not uncommon to see 10 to 20 vehicles pulled over dailly by the HP's in this spot. They do not get paid from the fine money but all of it goes to the county and court cost. You don't really have to worry about the SO much in this location.
