On the stretch of road between the corner of Murfreesboro Rd and Hobson pike going through to Pin Hook Road (on Hobson) past the Antioch High School there is generally always a police cruiser of some kind sitting and waiting. Sometimes it is in the mornings and sometimes it is in the afternoon. Sometimes the units are clearly marked, sometimes they are in unmarked cars. Sometimes there is one unit, sometimes there are 3 cars and they pull a sting (hiding 2 units on my side street in my neighbors driveway). Just obey the posted speed in this area including the times when the lights are flashing for school zone 15 and you won't get into trouble.

One cop on foot targets cars with handheld laser from the right side of the road while several cop cars sit ready and waiting in the Princeton Hills neighborhood on the right. Also, further along the road cops park their cars in gaps in the median. Their cars are hidden by trees and the hilly nature of the road. Standard Ka and Pop radar in use beware!

55 MPH zone .. from Clarksville, to Dover Tennessee. $ Lane divided, limited acess Highway. Sheriff pulled me over when there was no traffic, I thought I was doing 62 MPH, he said I was going 65 ... I was driving my father in law's car .. new Pontiac Sedan. As I topped a small hill, it looked as if the speed limit would have continued to increase to the normal 65 for a hwy of this quallity, and being as rural an area, but the speed limit was a constant 55 till you got to Dover ..Newly completed road ... obviously an attempt to "cash in on people who are not familliar with the posted speed of this highway. $178.00

From Interstate 840 to Interstate 40 on Highway 109 it is a complete trap. It is straight and flat with 4 lanes like an interstate. I've had 4 tickets on this road and most all people who have ever commuted via this road have been ticketed. This highway is fairly new so the Lebanon city police patrol it quite often. Most of my tickets were early in the morning. Just watch out and set your cruise control. I've also been ticketed because the car that was speeding got away and I was an easier target (even though I was on cruise control not speeding). I've been paced and pulled over after driving behind a truck with a trailer. I asked the officer why he didn't pull over the vehicle in front of me who was obviously going faster. He replied "I can only pull over one car at a time."

They lowered the speed limit from 45 to 35 a couple of years ago. They did this just to create a speed trap. There is no other reason for the 35 mile speed limit there. Where they catch people is nothing but farm land, and now the new Walmart development. I wish they would spend some of the money they have made on a traffic light at the end of Pleasant Grove Road at Mt. Juliet Road. There have been dozens of wrecks there. Instead of harassing the people coming home from work or school, they should be helping cars in and out of that intersection. You risk your life when you pull in or out there.

There is a huge church located on this road. The speed limit changes from 35 to 30. There is almost always a cop or two sitting in the parking lot of this church where the speed limit drops. Its hard to see them because of the church patrons cars.

Every now and then, the owners of Signs Now like to place a cardboard stand-up of a Smyrna Police officer shooting radar in front of their building. Every now and then, an actual officer will be hiding behind the stand-up, and will shoot radar and write tickets (The speed limit is 15 mph). I wish I was making this up.

Speed changes from 50 to 35 MPH on a downhill with very little notice. Lots of black marks on the pavement indicating folks caught unware of the drastic speed change. The Coopertown police constantly hang out on the overpass praying on drivers.

They told her they are old cars that are not used anymore. They park them there to scare you. Do not be afraid of the cars with no officers in them -- they are just dupes.

Daily police on this small town road sit constantly monitoring for speeders. It is well know throughout the surrounding county to do 5 miles under the speed limit, as if you are 1 mile over you could be pulled over. My grandmother informed me, and every time i drive through the town i make sure i go slow. I don't think i have ever seen the road without a cop waiting for a speeder. I understand this small city only has this main road to watch, but it still is a horrible speed trap, even coming into the town there are speed limit fluctuation that are unrealistic, and must be for state troopers familiar with the area to have reason to pull drivers over. Please be careful driving through Watertown, TN on US70 between Lebanon, TN and Smithville, TN
