Couple times while going west on Dell Range (coming from Walmart to Yellowstone Road) I have seen a Cheyenne PD car sitting on either Dell Range/Seminole or Dell Range/Ogalla. Their cruiser is able to stay hidden and it's hard to see them until you're right on them.

State trooper cruises 12th street from College Drive to his home in Sun Valley at beginning and ending of shifts. He also hits college drive hard. I fought my ticket in the kangaroo circuit court and lost. No surprise with that judge. She has the worst score from a lawyers poll. When I was in court, all the tickets that were being fought and contested were given out by this guy. Things that make you go hmmmm.

Now it is a dried up oil ghost town that has a city cop that is very, very ticket happy, He hides and will get you for doing 33 m.p.h. !

Basin is and always has been a place for local law enforcement to prove their power. Law enforcement is famous for hiding at the edges of town and looking for out out of state and out of county plates. The local paper prints the offenders weekly and lists where they are from. Very rarely do you see a local driver listed.

On the edge of Cody, a brand new highway/street was just finished within a month or so and the speed limit was 30 mph for at least 2 miles of this road (commonly called the Powell Highway) because of no turning lanes and quite a few wrecks. Since this has been so drastically improved with an extra wide hwy, sidewalks, turning lanes, etc, they are still enforcing a 30 mph speed limit! The city of Cody allows a 35 mph speed limit in the Residential part of town, but not out on this super hwy!

This is considered a "Governor's Favorite" highway in Wyoming&I see mostly deputies out there. If you get a speeding ticket - because of it's status as a Gov Fav, the ticket is doubled in cost. Follow The Speed Limit! Is lower than necessary in many places.
