| 10/10/2007 | Stan Trekell | It is time to Leather up, Saddle up and Throttle up for the First Annual Fall Foliage Motorcycle Tour being promoted for the benefit of the Lawrence, Kansas Humane Society. The tour is scheduled for this coming Sunday, October 14th. Participants will be touring the glacial fields of northeast Kansas. Cities along the way include Atchison, Troy, Sparks, Highland, Hiawatha, Holton, Topeka & others. All makes and models of motorcycles are welcome! Motorcyclists from northeast Kansas will converge upon the Checker's Food parking lot, 23rd and Louisiana Streets in Lawrence this coming Sunday. Registration begins at 9:00 am and the tour will depart promptly at 10:00 am. The tour is scheduled to return to Lawrence around 4:00 pm. Several scenic stops are planned along the way as well as a scheduled lunch break. Riders can pick up the tour anywhere along the route.
